Damit fördern wir Menschen, die an- sonsten eher am Rand unserer Gesellschaft stehen. Die Freude der Menschen über erfolgrei- ches Arbeiten und die Chancen sich beweisen zu dürfen, wird bei jedem Besuch in den Him- melkroner Werkstätten deutlich sichtbar. //Developing and manufacturing technical cera- mics requires the highest motivation and ability from each employee in addition to reliability and extended vocational training. Twenty percent of our employees have an engi- neering or scientific degree plus academic edu- cation. Over a quarter are either technicians, master craftsmen and skilled or in-service trai- nees. For many years we have been training in- dustrial ceramists on-the-job. Furthermore, we provide master-of-art/bachelor thesis for stu- dents and offer them internships. In social and cultural fields we are actively invol- ved, for example ANCeram provides financial support of the Festival of Young Artists in Bay- reuth. Because we are involved internationally, we want to support the education of the internati- onal young generation of music and cultural management. The best way is to support the Festival in Bayreuth. Spendenübergabe Weihnachten 2010 // Donation christmas 2010 Foto:Lammel In August 2010, the festival’s 60th anniversary, 500 group members from 39 nations were edu- cated and schooled by 50 internationally accredi- ted tutors. They presented their skills to live au- diences in more than 100 concerts, events and open air festivals. “The festival can only accomp- lish this educational service because friends and sponsors support our work”, President and inten- dant Dr. Sissy Thammer. They truly appreciated the importance of the ANCeram donations. ANCeram also subcontracts many tasks to a workshop for disabled people at the Diakonie in the neighboring village of Himmelkron. We help and encourage people who otherwise are on the edge of society. They are happy of their success- ful work, the chance to show their abilities and to be a productive part of society.
